1) Organiser: 
Teck Ghee Community Club Women’s Executive Committee The event is managed by Chess Academy (Singapore) Pte Ltd and played under FIDE Laws of Chess and the following rules and regulations. This is an  INDIVDUAL EVENT and shall be submitted for SCF (Singapore Chess Federation) rating.

2) Date & Time:
Sunday 27 May 2012, 9.00 am to 6.30 pm  (Competitors to report by 8.45 am)

3) Venue:
Teck Ghee Community Club, 861 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 Singapore 569734  ;  Tel : 64567123 & 64567124 Fax : 64567191

4) Eligibility:
Open to all. There shall be three categories,
(a) Open Category (No restrictions)
(b) Under-12 Category
(c) Under-8 Category.      
Age shall be as on 1 January 2012.  

5) Mode of Competition:
7 Rounds Swiss using Swiss Manager with 25 minutes for each player to complete the game.

6) Entry Fee:
Shall be $ 18.00 per participant (Passion Card Members & students of Chess Academy (Singapore) Pte Ltd) and $ 20.00 (Non Passion Card Members.

7) Prizes:
Trophies shall be presented to the top 10 winners (Male) and top 5 winners (Female) in each category. Cash Prizes for the Open Category only, shall be – Champion: $ 200.00; 1st Runner-Up: $ 150.00; 2nd Runner-Up: $ 100.00; 4th – 6th: $ 50.00 each.

8) Family Prizes:
Although this is an INDIVIDUAL EVENT, 5 Trophies each shall be awarded to the best Family Teams (Duos (2 members) and Trios (3 members)). The total score of each member in the family shall be added up to determine the best family teams. Eligibility for Family Team Members shall be parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, uncles and aunties.

9) For the Under 8 and 12 Category,
5 additional merit prizes each shall be awarded to the next best Under 10 and Under 6 players respectively. 

10) Closing Date:
Friday 25 May 2012 at 7.00 pm or the first 200 entries. Late entries and entries without payment will not be accepted. Entry Fee paid is non-refundable. 

11) In the event of any disputes (outside the Laws of Chess), the organizer’s decision shall be final and no further correspondences shall be entertained. All participants agree not to hold the organizers responsible for any mishaps or injuries incurred arising from their participation in this event.
